Mobile Medical Disaster Relief

In 2005, as a response to Hurricane Katrina, Dr. Vanderpool formed Medical Mobile Disaster Relief, a 501(c)(3) organization. MMDR provided medicine and medical supplies to indigent clinics on the Gulf Coast of Mississippi. Since then, MMDR has expanded to supporting and building medical clinics all around the world.  With locations in Africa, the Middle East, Eastern Europe, Central and South America, and Eastern Asia, MMDR has provided medical care to thousands of people.

Haiti

Since the earthquake in Haiti that occurred January 12, 2010, Mobile Medical Disaster Relief has extensively been involved in the reconstruction of the country.  Operating out of a hospital in the border town of Jimani, MMDR was a first responder arriving within 50 hours of the earthquake.  Since then Dr. Vanderpool has returned to Haiti, devoting a week out of each month, to provide much needed medical care to the suffering Haitians in multiple areas around the city of Port-au-Prince.  MMDR has provided basic medical care, tetanus and hepatitis b vaccines, food, shelter for orphans, and will soon implement a prosthetic leg initiative in their clinics.  Please continue to support the crucial work of MMDR in Haiti and around the world.
